Join us to hear four live short stories of trans/queer grief practice.
Today, September 17, 2023, at 3-4pm EST (12-1pm PST) we will gather to say goodbye to summer and hear from four new storytellers at Communion: Queer & Trans Memorial & Mourning #2.
Treva Ellison (they/them) will share about grief portals and apprenticing with sorrow. They are a Georgia based artist, land steward, and cultural worker.
eunjung kim (she/her) will share about roadkill in her hand. She is a Seoul and Upstate New York based teacher and scholar of transnational feminist queer crip theories and praxis.
Briar Baron (she/her) will share about ritual and closure with a father’s queer ghost. She is a Brooklyn-based software engineer with a passion for movement-based somatics and dance.
Mel Y. Chen (it/they/he/ta) will share about being a dead child. It is a SF bay area based scholar, teacher, and climber, and thinks about animals, chemicals, language, and friends.
